Martin County Modelers - Flight Preparations FUNCTIONS OF THE CLUB:
  1. Club members fly mainly on Sundays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. & 1:00 p.m. But that does not limit the flying of any member to fly at the field on any day desired by a pilot.
  2. Club members have club meetings approximately 4 times a year which is followed by a club sponsored cook-out/bar-b- que. In which all members are free to bring guests to enjoy.
  3. Both fixed wing & helicopter pilots are welcome to enjoy the field.
  4. Accommodations have been set up for new pilots to receive instructions in the field of model flying.
  5. We also promote visits of ALL people to visit & view our field & sport, feel free to bring your children so they too can enjoy this experience.
Martin County Modelers Club - Helicopters Welcome! GENERAL RULES OF PILOTS:
  1. Pilots are required to be members of the AMA.
  2. Pilots have to be checked out in their flying skills upon signing up with the club.
  3. New potential & present pilots are required to receive a walk thru of the clubs rules & frequency check.
  4. New member equiptment to be checked by club safety officer.
  5. Membership to the Martin County Modelers fees/dues are:
    • $150.00 - new members for the first year.$100.00 - every year following.
    • $ 4.00 for additional family members.

INSTRUCTIONAL TRAINING:

The MARTIN COUNTY MODELERS take pride in their effective way of teaching.

They have the most thorough steps for a new student to accomplish his or her advancement to actually flying on their own. From the safety and technical aspects to the actual participation of flying.

The Martin County modelers instructors are dedicated in promoting the art of flying. Patience, time, experience and helpfulness are just a few of their credits in the passing of their talents to students.

If you truly wish to experience this great sport of flying you will be given a private session of the safety factors involved. Then you will have a session of the mechanics of the craft you will be learning on. You will be shown how to set up your own equiptment and how to care for your equiptment.

You will have the good fortune of having EVERY MEMBERS time to help you with any questions you may have.
